I have been a bit lazy about writing lately. Not too much has happened. We came to Esfahan, we go to people's houses to eat, and just do random things in the evening. I forgot which day it was, so for my blog titles, I decided to count down! Soo...8 more days! :)
We are going to Semirome tomorrow. It should be interesting. There is a waterfall there! So I will get to see my first waterfall ever! I am uber excited! Lately I have been staying at Mina's and Baba has been staying at Ame Narges'. I like Mina's because Saba is here and I am more entertained with her than over there, and there is also internet access :) yaaay! Although the internet here makes me angry because of how everything is blocked. The two sites I go to most, Youtube and Facebook, blocked :/
OMG So right now, my cousin Mina, her husband came back from Australia, and right now, he is smoking a hooka! I have never seen it being done in person. It is very interesting, but it smells weird. Me no gusta. They asked me if I wanted to try, but it smells bad so I don't want to, and it's just gross lol. Never really had an interest for smoking.
Ermmm...I can't really think about anything else interesting. I can tell you we are in Esfahan till Friday when we go to Tehran and meet up with Hamid and his family again. We will be there till that next Tuesday and we come home! Yaaaay :) I really hope we make all of the flights we want to, I just want to get home :( I miss America lol. I miss my free rights! Just 8 more days! And it's funny, because I have so many things planned out that I need to do whenever I get home.
Seeya!

I hate sexist men...
Alright, so I wrote that last blog fast before we got onto the plane to come back to Esfahan, not much happened...buuuuut.....
Baba and I were getting in line to go through security. They had two lines, and they were sort of seperated by men and women, but men were going through that line and there were women going through the line we were in, so it didn't quite matter. We were almost to where we needed to be, and this man infront of Baba and me turned to him and told me to go to the other line because I was a woman...wtf. There were women going through the line that we were in! What makes the difference, I looked at Baba and he turned to the guy and told him it didn't matter and that I was his daughter, and the man was still offended that I was going through the men's line, so I just went to the women's line. That made me SOOO mad...
That is one thing I hate about Iran, the fact how some menn are so SEXIST! Gah, I mean, aren't us women the ones who have your children and it is us the main reason you exist, all you do is just put a little stuff in us, but we go through the torture of 9 months of having a baby in there, experiencing pain, eating our faces, crying our eyes out, with a watermelon in our stomach. Those sexist men need to think about that. Women are very useful besides just that and cooking and cleaning. There are so many important women in this world that have made a difference or invented something so useful or stood up for something they believed in. If that jerk man ever comes to America and I see him again (I know I wont, but I am hypothetically speaking) I will be like "Oh! US Citizens first, buddy! Oh and there is also a gentleman custom you should learn here in the States, and it is LADIES FIRST" then i'd slap him.
For the men who happened to read this and take this the wrong way, I was aiming this at all sexist men, not all regular men btw. Men are great :) psycho at times, but hey, us women can be VERY mean.
Just had to share that thought :)

Day 18 in Iran/Day 19 in Iran
Well today was a kind of chill day again haha. The chill days here are fun. I woke up abouuut, I guess 11 or so. We just kind of hung around and watched Friends for a while. Uhh, I honestly cant remember what went down because it's one day later and I forgot to write last night lol. Although we did go to Mehdi's last night for dinner and hung out and danced again haha that was really fun! I am at the airport in Bandar now about to go back to Esfahan. Saba and Mina are picking us up. I am excited to finally see Saba! I can't wait to see this side of my family again next week whenever we go back to Tehran. The trip is almost over!

Day 17 in Iran
Today was a pretty chill day. I woke up at like, noon haha. I ate just a little bit, but I didnt want to spoil lunch. So I took a shower, braided my hair, and did my nails. Afterwards we went down to their uncle's home for lunch. Everyone was sitting around talking, but I was just kinda sitting there thinking. I then checked a few things online, and then we ate. Afterwards, Hamid and I watched Friends, lol seriously, it's like a daily thing! We watched a whole disk, again. After that, we came back to their apartment and I came into the room and layed down for a bit. After that I got up and went out there and watched a bit of tv and talked with my dad. I thenn found the girls and we played Uno for a while. Then I got Baba to try and fix my laptop, the virus protection wasnt on or something. Dinner was almost ready, so I sorta hung around the kitchen with everyone. It was finally done and we sat down and ate...the most embarrassing thing happened though...Baba was talking to someone and someone gave him his beer, I figured I would be nice and open it, it was a little hard to open, but once I got it, it spewed everywhere! It got on the counter, in my water, and everything! I was soo embarrassed...I wanted to cryy...but I held it in. We finished up and then started watching ER...ahh I love that show. I then came in the room and am laying down now lol. Just a laid back day.

Day 16 in Iran
Today was very interesting haha. I woke up abouuut...10:30 this morning, and my dad came in and told me I needed to get ready. Hasti and I were going to go get Henna tattoos. We went to her aunt's salon and got henna tattoos. They are uber cute! I got mine on my foot and she got hers on her hand. We were there till almost 1 in the afternoon. We came back and then went over to Mehdi's, who lives the floor below haha. We went there for lunch, and had yummy food! We also had corn! I was so excited. After that, we watched Friends for a while. Probably about 2 hours after that, we came back and took naps. I didn't really nap. I wikipediaed a lot of random things and then I was looking up some college stuff (pats self on the back). After that I got up and went into the TV room basically, and we watched some cooking show for a little bit and just relaxed for about half an hour. I then went to go get ready, because we were going to go out and go shopping. We left and went to a jewelry shop, and as a gift, they got me toe rings and an ankle bracelet :) they are very pretty! I love them! We were there for a very long time lol, probably over half an hour. twas crazyy. Then we went to a shopping center and looked around for a little bit. I didn't really see many things I liked. We were walking to this other place, and I was walking next to Hasti, and we passed this group of guys, and I wasn't really looking even in their direction, and one passed me and whispered in my ear "Salam" which basically means Greetings..and in the Iranian culture, a man isn't really supposed to address a woman randomly unless he is "interested" if you know what I mean. I was like uhh...and whenever we got to the place we were going to I told Baba lol. After that, we told everyone else and everyone started messing with me lol it was funny. We then came back to the house and ordered in. I had a cheeseburger. They are very different here, I can't really describe it. The taste is like someone was smoking while they were grilling the burger lol. We then played cards for a while, and then I just started writing my blog. Haha that was my day today!

Day 15 in Iran
Wow, our trip is pretty much half over! I am sad kind of, but uber excited, because I miss home a lot lol. Anyways...today was kind of a lounge around day. I woke up sort of late today! Like 10:30, this was the 2nd latest I have woken up in Iran...the first latest was at like 11 after I went out with Sahroosh and Parvaneh. Anyways, I went and had some breakfast. After that, I took a good shower, and then went into the other room and watched cooking shows with everyone lol. We watched Paula...that woman is so crazy haha. Afterwards, Baba started making Chicken Parmesean so we watched that some, and then Shirin wanted to play cards, and so we played some, but I wasnt in the mood, neither was Hasti, so we just kind of chilled. Hamid then came in and felt like watching Friends, he read my mind lol. We watched friends for a couple of hours and then ate lunch. I hate the Chicken, and it was gooood. After that we finished our episode of Friends and then Baba told me I needed to go change and get ready to go. So I do and Baba, Hasti, Mehdi, and I go and us 3 (Baba, Hasti, and me) get xrays done on our teeth so Mehdi can work on them. That took like an hour to an hour and a half. After that we went to the office and he had some other patients before us. So he did them and then we went in there. Baba was first, he got reccommended to the periodologist or whatever...basically..a ggum doctor because he has had problems with his gums. After that...it was my turn....I never really had a problem with dentists. I mean, don't get me wrong, Mehdi was great! But I hadnt been in forever...and now the sound of the Dentist instruments are so scary...I layed down, he looked in my mouth, and then went and got a shot...I was scared haha i hateeee shots. He then started putting a filling in my mouth because the last dentist I did put one in there, but did such a poor job, it fell out soon after I got it. It took a long time, and the sound of everything sounded like a building was being worked on! Terrifying much? It was a lot different too than a dentist in America. After all of the work, I finally was done and rinsed my mouth out and water kept falling out lol. After that I sat down and Hasti got one of her wisdom teeth removed..bless her heart, her cheek was swollen some..our medicine had started wearing off...mine wore off first. We all left and got some ice cream to help our pain. We came back to the house, my mouth was in excruciating pain. I almost cried it hurt so bad. Baba then gave me a hard painkiller, which relaxed me and helped after a while, once I started slowly feeling better, poor Hasti was in worse pain than I was! I saw her a few times and she was holding her mouth and I could see in her eyes she wasnt happy lol. She decided to hit the bed. I just sat around watching more Friends. After a bit, I went into the other room to see what everyone was doing, Hasti, his wife, and Baba were watching a movie. It was funny because I walked in right during a sex scene, and Baba was like, Shayda, you are too young for this, it's rated R...I was like Baba, I can get myself into one of these movies you know, I am 17. I hate whenever he underestimates my age...then he threatned he would start talking about sex, then I was like OKAY I am gone (earlier after we left the dentist we went to a drug store to get this mouthwash for Hasti, and Baba said he saw a CD for "sexual activity" and we were talking about what kinds of things would be on it, but I told Baba I couldnt talk about stuff like that with him because it was weird and he isn't supposed to know about stuff like that! That he was also threatning to talk about whenever i walked into the movie) Anyawy, I am laying down and the painkiller is starting to wear off...so I may hit the sack soon. Anywho, that was today!

Day 14 in Iran
Today was really nice! This morning I woke up and talked to a few people this morning, and then I went and had Breakfast. After we ate, we sat around and watched a few epsiodes of Friends again haha. Amazing show :) then we were getting ready to go to lunch. I got all my stuff together and we left. It. Was. So. Hot. Outside. I went outside and my sunglasses fogged up lol. We went to lunch, which was super yummy! I had pizza, which I uber missed, and it was greasy, I was so happy lol. We also were allowed to partake in a salad type buffet. I Had some olive salad, which wasn't bad, and potato salad. They also made me taste this soup, which was also pretty good too! I was SOOO full after that. We kind of drove around to look at the beach and stuff, I started getting a bit carsick, but I didn't say anything. We got back to the house, and I went and layed down for a bit. I woke up and we had started watching Terminator Salvation, that movie was pretty good so far from what I saw of it. We stopped in the middle of it and went to this hotel and at the hotel they had a private beach. It was SOO pretty! I can now say that I have stuck my feet in the Persian Gulf :) it was a bit windy by the water, so it wasn't as hot down there. After that we walked around some, and then went inside the hotel to have drinks, I had a milkshake :) twas uber yummy! The Vanilla Milkshake tasted way better than almost any kind I have had before. Once we did that, we had to make a stop at the hospital so Hamid could check on a patient. We then came back to the house and the girls and I played Uno. I then taught them how to play ERS. They loved it too! Haha they caught on VERY fast, i was impressed. Shirin was a bit slow at first, but she caught on and slapped a lot lol. Now, we are just lounging around. Hasti and I are going shopping tomorrow, I am excited about that :) Baba is also making me Chicken Parmesean tomorrow because they are making fish. yaaay!
