I have been a bit lazy about writing lately. Not too much has happened. We came to Esfahan, we go to people's houses to eat, and just do random things in the evening. I forgot which day it was, so for my blog titles, I decided to count down! Soo...8 more days! :)
We are going to Semirome tomorrow. It should be interesting. There is a waterfall there! So I will get to see my first waterfall ever! I am uber excited! Lately I have been staying at Mina's and Baba has been staying at Ame Narges'. I like Mina's because Saba is here and I am more entertained with her than over there, and there is also internet access :) yaaay! Although the internet here makes me angry because of how everything is blocked. The two sites I go to most, Youtube and Facebook, blocked :/
OMG So right now, my cousin Mina, her husband came back from Australia, and right now, he is smoking a hooka! I have never seen it being done in person. It is very interesting, but it smells weird. Me no gusta. They asked me if I wanted to try, but it smells bad so I don't want to, and it's just gross lol. Never really had an interest for smoking.
Ermmm...I can't really think about anything else interesting. I can tell you we are in Esfahan till Friday when we go to Tehran and meet up with Hamid and his family again. We will be there till that next Tuesday and we come home! Yaaaay :) I really hope we make all of the flights we want to, I just want to get home :( I miss America lol. I miss my free rights! Just 8 more days! And it's funny, because I have so many things planned out that I need to do whenever I get home.
Seeya!

I hate sexist men...
Alright, so I wrote that last blog fast before we got onto the plane to come back to Esfahan, not much happened...buuuuut.....
Baba and I were getting in line to go through security. They had two lines, and they were sort of seperated by men and women, but men were going through that line and there were women going through the line we were in, so it didn't quite matter. We were almost to where we needed to be, and this man infront of Baba and me turned to him and told me to go to the other line because I was a woman...wtf. There were women going through the line that we were in! What makes the difference, I looked at Baba and he turned to the guy and told him it didn't matter and that I was his daughter, and the man was still offended that I was going through the men's line, so I just went to the women's line. That made me SOOO mad...
That is one thing I hate about Iran, the fact how some menn are so SEXIST! Gah, I mean, aren't us women the ones who have your children and it is us the main reason you exist, all you do is just put a little stuff in us, but we go through the torture of 9 months of having a baby in there, experiencing pain, eating our faces, crying our eyes out, with a watermelon in our stomach. Those sexist men need to think about that. Women are very useful besides just that and cooking and cleaning. There are so many important women in this world that have made a difference or invented something so useful or stood up for something they believed in. If that jerk man ever comes to America and I see him again (I know I wont, but I am hypothetically speaking) I will be like "Oh! US Citizens first, buddy! Oh and there is also a gentleman custom you should learn here in the States, and it is LADIES FIRST" then i'd slap him.
For the men who happened to read this and take this the wrong way, I was aiming this at all sexist men, not all regular men btw. Men are great :) psycho at times, but hey, us women can be VERY mean.
Just had to share that thought :)

Day 18 in Iran/Day 19 in Iran
Well today was a kind of chill day again haha. The chill days here are fun. I woke up abouuut, I guess 11 or so. We just kind of hung around and watched Friends for a while. Uhh, I honestly cant remember what went down because it's one day later and I forgot to write last night lol. Although we did go to Mehdi's last night for dinner and hung out and danced again haha that was really fun! I am at the airport in Bandar now about to go back to Esfahan. Saba and Mina are picking us up. I am excited to finally see Saba! I can't wait to see this side of my family again next week whenever we go back to Tehran. The trip is almost over!

Day 17 in Iran
Today was a pretty chill day. I woke up at like, noon haha. I ate just a little bit, but I didnt want to spoil lunch. So I took a shower, braided my hair, and did my nails. Afterwards we went down to their uncle's home for lunch. Everyone was sitting around talking, but I was just kinda sitting there thinking. I then checked a few things online, and then we ate. Afterwards, Hamid and I watched Friends, lol seriously, it's like a daily thing! We watched a whole disk, again. After that, we came back to their apartment and I came into the room and layed down for a bit. After that I got up and went out there and watched a bit of tv and talked with my dad. I thenn found the girls and we played Uno for a while. Then I got Baba to try and fix my laptop, the virus protection wasnt on or something. Dinner was almost ready, so I sorta hung around the kitchen with everyone. It was finally done and we sat down and ate...the most embarrassing thing happened though...Baba was talking to someone and someone gave him his beer, I figured I would be nice and open it, it was a little hard to open, but once I got it, it spewed everywhere! It got on the counter, in my water, and everything! I was soo embarrassed...I wanted to cryy...but I held it in. We finished up and then started watching ER...ahh I love that show. I then came in the room and am laying down now lol. Just a laid back day.

Day 16 in Iran
Today was very interesting haha. I woke up abouuut...10:30 this morning, and my dad came in and told me I needed to get ready. Hasti and I were going to go get Henna tattoos. We went to her aunt's salon and got henna tattoos. They are uber cute! I got mine on my foot and she got hers on her hand. We were there till almost 1 in the afternoon. We came back and then went over to Mehdi's, who lives the floor below haha. We went there for lunch, and had yummy food! We also had corn! I was so excited. After that, we watched Friends for a while. Probably about 2 hours after that, we came back and took naps. I didn't really nap. I wikipediaed a lot of random things and then I was looking up some college stuff (pats self on the back). After that I got up and went into the TV room basically, and we watched some cooking show for a little bit and just relaxed for about half an hour. I then went to go get ready, because we were going to go out and go shopping. We left and went to a jewelry shop, and as a gift, they got me toe rings and an ankle bracelet :) they are very pretty! I love them! We were there for a very long time lol, probably over half an hour. twas crazyy. Then we went to a shopping center and looked around for a little bit. I didn't really see many things I liked. We were walking to this other place, and I was walking next to Hasti, and we passed this group of guys, and I wasn't really looking even in their direction, and one passed me and whispered in my ear "Salam" which basically means Greetings..and in the Iranian culture, a man isn't really supposed to address a woman randomly unless he is "interested" if you know what I mean. I was like uhh...and whenever we got to the place we were going to I told Baba lol. After that, we told everyone else and everyone started messing with me lol it was funny. We then came back to the house and ordered in. I had a cheeseburger. They are very different here, I can't really describe it. The taste is like someone was smoking while they were grilling the burger lol. We then played cards for a while, and then I just started writing my blog. Haha that was my day today!

Day 15 in Iran
Wow, our trip is pretty much half over! I am sad kind of, but uber excited, because I miss home a lot lol. Anyways...today was kind of a lounge around day. I woke up sort of late today! Like 10:30, this was the 2nd latest I have woken up in Iran...the first latest was at like 11 after I went out with Sahroosh and Parvaneh. Anyways, I went and had some breakfast. After that, I took a good shower, and then went into the other room and watched cooking shows with everyone lol. We watched Paula...that woman is so crazy haha. Afterwards, Baba started making Chicken Parmesean so we watched that some, and then Shirin wanted to play cards, and so we played some, but I wasnt in the mood, neither was Hasti, so we just kind of chilled. Hamid then came in and felt like watching Friends, he read my mind lol. We watched friends for a couple of hours and then ate lunch. I hate the Chicken, and it was gooood. After that we finished our episode of Friends and then Baba told me I needed to go change and get ready to go. So I do and Baba, Hasti, Mehdi, and I go and us 3 (Baba, Hasti, and me) get xrays done on our teeth so Mehdi can work on them. That took like an hour to an hour and a half. After that we went to the office and he had some other patients before us. So he did them and then we went in there. Baba was first, he got reccommended to the periodologist or whatever...basically..a ggum doctor because he has had problems with his gums. After that...it was my turn....I never really had a problem with dentists. I mean, don't get me wrong, Mehdi was great! But I hadnt been in forever...and now the sound of the Dentist instruments are so scary...I layed down, he looked in my mouth, and then went and got a shot...I was scared haha i hateeee shots. He then started putting a filling in my mouth because the last dentist I did put one in there, but did such a poor job, it fell out soon after I got it. It took a long time, and the sound of everything sounded like a building was being worked on! Terrifying much? It was a lot different too than a dentist in America. After all of the work, I finally was done and rinsed my mouth out and water kept falling out lol. After that I sat down and Hasti got one of her wisdom teeth removed..bless her heart, her cheek was swollen some..our medicine had started wearing off...mine wore off first. We all left and got some ice cream to help our pain. We came back to the house, my mouth was in excruciating pain. I almost cried it hurt so bad. Baba then gave me a hard painkiller, which relaxed me and helped after a while, once I started slowly feeling better, poor Hasti was in worse pain than I was! I saw her a few times and she was holding her mouth and I could see in her eyes she wasnt happy lol. She decided to hit the bed. I just sat around watching more Friends. After a bit, I went into the other room to see what everyone was doing, Hasti, his wife, and Baba were watching a movie. It was funny because I walked in right during a sex scene, and Baba was like, Shayda, you are too young for this, it's rated R...I was like Baba, I can get myself into one of these movies you know, I am 17. I hate whenever he underestimates my age...then he threatned he would start talking about sex, then I was like OKAY I am gone (earlier after we left the dentist we went to a drug store to get this mouthwash for Hasti, and Baba said he saw a CD for "sexual activity" and we were talking about what kinds of things would be on it, but I told Baba I couldnt talk about stuff like that with him because it was weird and he isn't supposed to know about stuff like that! That he was also threatning to talk about whenever i walked into the movie) Anyawy, I am laying down and the painkiller is starting to wear off...so I may hit the sack soon. Anywho, that was today!

Day 14 in Iran
Today was really nice! This morning I woke up and talked to a few people this morning, and then I went and had Breakfast. After we ate, we sat around and watched a few epsiodes of Friends again haha. Amazing show :) then we were getting ready to go to lunch. I got all my stuff together and we left. It. Was. So. Hot. Outside. I went outside and my sunglasses fogged up lol. We went to lunch, which was super yummy! I had pizza, which I uber missed, and it was greasy, I was so happy lol. We also were allowed to partake in a salad type buffet. I Had some olive salad, which wasn't bad, and potato salad. They also made me taste this soup, which was also pretty good too! I was SOOO full after that. We kind of drove around to look at the beach and stuff, I started getting a bit carsick, but I didn't say anything. We got back to the house, and I went and layed down for a bit. I woke up and we had started watching Terminator Salvation, that movie was pretty good so far from what I saw of it. We stopped in the middle of it and went to this hotel and at the hotel they had a private beach. It was SOO pretty! I can now say that I have stuck my feet in the Persian Gulf :) it was a bit windy by the water, so it wasn't as hot down there. After that we walked around some, and then went inside the hotel to have drinks, I had a milkshake :) twas uber yummy! The Vanilla Milkshake tasted way better than almost any kind I have had before. Once we did that, we had to make a stop at the hospital so Hamid could check on a patient. We then came back to the house and the girls and I played Uno. I then taught them how to play ERS. They loved it too! Haha they caught on VERY fast, i was impressed. Shirin was a bit slow at first, but she caught on and slapped a lot lol. Now, we are just lounging around. Hasti and I are going shopping tomorrow, I am excited about that :) Baba is also making me Chicken Parmesean tomorrow because they are making fish. yaaay!

Day 13 in Iran
So, I LOVE Bandar btw. I woke up and checked a few emails and downloaded some music. I got up and had breakfast today haha. I had some bread with Nutella on it. Mmmm Nutella is so good! After that,I took a shower...it was probably the best shower I took in Iran! I got out and was so happy. I curled my hair today haha. After that I went into the other room and just hung around there. They had started watching the movie Taken last night and so I watched the last 30 minutes of it with them. After that, Hamid put in Friends and we watched a few episodes of that. I freaking love that show haha I have seen every episode, but they are always still so funny :) after that we ate lunch, we had Stumble :) yummy! I was soo full after that. I think I took a nap after that..I can't remember haha. Then I woke up and sat down with everyone and we were watching The Patriot. That movie is actually pretty good! After that, some people came over, and some of the girls and I came into the other room and I painted some of the girls' nails. They LOVED it! After that, I sat down and just talked with everyone, it makes me happy, because they actually can speak English well! We finally ate dinner, which was really good! We had salami sandwiches, this AMAZING cake thing we had yesterday, which is unbelieveable, and just some different foods. After that, I was showing them some American music like Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Kesha, and stuff. Then they busted up some Iranian tunes and we danced around! It was uber fun! I also had showed them some line dances they do in America. Hamid is getting me some blank CDs and I am going to burn them some CDs, probably with techno music on it and stuff. After that, we played Uno for a bit. The electricity went out for a bit, but we still played, and they were asking me curse words in English lol, I got Baba to help out on that part. I just told them a few mild ones because I don't really like using those words. After that I pretty much just came to lay down like right now haha. I really like Bandar, they are so nice, outgoing, and uber fun! This is going to be an amazing week :) I can tell!

Day 12 in Iran
Day 12
Today was probably the most entertaining day in Shiraz. I woke up
and just kinda hung around. Took a shower, then the guy that took us
to the historical places picked Baba and me up and we went to eat at
this really nice restaurant. His son joined us too. We ate and I was SO
full I almost threw up. I wanted to die, lol. We then went back to that
guy's house and hung out there for a while. I checked my emails and
stuff. Then I went into the living room and had lots of the cherry drink
stuff that I LOVEEE here. I sat around and watched music videos on TV
for a really long time haha. I saw some really good ones! There were a lot
of british singers too, it was good. After that, we went to this picnic
in this little area. That was pretty fun, they just hung around. Ate fruit.
Then they started making kabob and I didnt want to eat still, I was still
so full from lunch. I was getting a bit sleepy so I went to lay down...
let me just say...some people were NOT very considerate to someone sleeping.
I didnt really get much. Then I went back out after about 20 minutes and
just kinda sat there and watched everyone. We all left and came home and slept.

Day 11 in Iran
Day 11
Today, I woke up with no bloody nose! Yay! Haha, anyway. Got up,
we got dressed. Then we went to the bazaar. First, we got ice cream
and it was interesting, they had huge ice cream sandwiches!
I took some pictures, you can go see. Anywho, we got some and then went
to the bazaar. Walked around a lot. It was funny, Baba and I saw
a few people that were on the airplane with us coming to Shiraz at
the bazaar, they didn't know us, but we saw them. I got one or two
things...they were asking for a lot. Baba said they recognized his
accent and try to charge a lot. After that, we got lunch and then went
back to someone's house and ate. I started to take a nap, but their power
went out, so we came back to the place we were staying at. I was out for like
3 and a half hours! How? I have no idea, but I was! I woke up,
Baba and I went to the internet cafe for about half an hour, and that's all
that really happened today. We are about to eat....I don't wanna! Meh :(
Today was boring...

Day 10 in Iran
Day 10
This morning, I woke up with a bloody nose...ewwww. It was gross.
It was probably because of the elevation and the fact my nose
was so dry because of the climate change. I sat around and showed
everyone our pictures from Iran so far. After that, I took a shower
and then Baba did and we went out with one of his nephews...can't
remember his name...anywho! We went to a few historical places.
We took quite a few pictures. It was really really hot outside too.
Baba said it was about 115 degrees outside. We also got ice cream
while we were out. I was hoping to find an internet cafe, but they
couldn't find one, so I can't email people for a few days, meh :(
the thing that upsets me about that is emailing people at home makes
me feel comfort and realization that the time is going by faster to
go home. I mean, I am having fun, but I REALLY miss home and as much
as I love family...too much of it always gets me. We have been constantly
overcrowded with family the past 10 days and I am starting to go crazy!
Anywayy...we came back here, ate lunch, and kinda took naps. Well, I barely
did, but everyone else was probably out. I was just laying around thinking...
mostly about how I missed home! Haha. Anywho, I finally got up and just
sat around more in the living room. My dad then found out there was an
internet cafe that was barely a block away, so we went to it and checked
emails. I may probably go there again the next two days, whenever I have
access to home, it makes me comfortable. After that we went to this
one street and just walked up it...there was basically all mens clothes
so i didn't enjoy looking...although we crossed this purse like store and
I bought a new wallet! It is uber cute! Only like, 2 dollars too, haha.
It has two slots to put money in, so I divided my American money from
my iranian money...even though I only have 1 American dollar haha. It
also has one little coin purse on the side with the slots...and Then
it has a spot for your license and whatnot...but the best part...
IT HAS A MIRROR IN IT! How freaking cool is that? I didn't discover
that until 10 minutes after I bought it. It made me love it even more.
Then we came back, ate, and I am laying in bed while everyone else
in the other room is watching the World Cup Game. Hopefully tomorrow
will be better...I hope Bandaar is better....anywho, goodnight.

Day 8/Day 9 in Iran
Day 8/Day 9
I got busy and preoccupied so I forgot to write haha.
So on Day 8, nothing really happened until the evening. I was
going to a birthday party with Sahroosh and Parvaneh. I went to their
house about...idk...7 or 8. They let me check emails and stuff. I was
wearing my new dress, and I was so excited about it! We didn't leave their
apartment till about 10 or so, and I was already getting tired..uhoh! Well,
we got there and it was probably the most amazing garden I have ever seen
before. There was a gazebo and it was basically a fountain! Water was falling
off of it into a pond! It was so beautiful. It looked like somewhere someone
would be proposed to. Geez I hope I get proposed to in something beautiful
like that! We went inside and said hi to people and everything then sat down
and watched people dance some, then Parvaneh and I got up and danced. The
music was like Arabian Techno, and some Persian Techno. It was so neat. It's
like they basically made their own club. It was really cool. The music was
loud, there were lights everywhere! It was awesome. After that for a while
we sat around and stuff and then we ate, then went back to dancing. Parvaneh's
brother asked me to dance a couple of times, whenever I was dancing with people
I kept looking down because it was too awkward to look at their faces, idk why...
I am just weird like that. After that they did the birthday cake and presents
which took a while, I was just sitting there thinking. Although somethingg
funny they did was when they figured out who's present the guy was opening
he would get up and dance with them for a second. It was cool haha. After that
some old man started singing and it was making me fall asleep...I mean, dude, it
was 2:30AM already! Then after that we finally left and I slept in the car some.
I got back and CRASHED! Didn't wake up until 11AM.
The next day not much happened, I finished the 7th Harry Potter again. It got too
intense to stop reading haha. Farideh, her husband, and Parnian came over for lunch.
It was really funny because Farideh's husband went out to get lunch and on the plate
was like, chicken, red cabbage, peppers, and cooked carrots. All of us were exchanging
a lot of our food on our plates, it was cracking me up. I had like 4 cups of lemonade
too. GAH I love homemade lemonade! After that for a bit, I was showing Farideh and
Parnian my pictures on my computer which only really consisted of family and prom pictures.
I then showed Parnian my music. I was excited she had heard of a lot of stuff on there, more
than I expected. Then her and i played a few games of ERS. I won both times :) she doesn't
cheat and that's why I am able to win haha the younger girls cheat a lot. After that Baba
and I went to the airport in Esfahan. I am glad Sandra warned me about the seperation
of women and men lines. The first line I went through, Ame Narges was there with me, but
the second one I was alone and I told them I spoke English and it helped. We got on the plane,
which was REALLY hot. It made me tired. They gave us food, which tasted like poo. And then we
landed. We got our baggage and saw everyone here. There were a lot of people that greeted us
at the airport! They gave us flowers too. It was cute, there was this little girl, I can't
remember her name, but she loved me! She wanted to hold my hand on the way to the car and
she wanted to ride with me. I gave her one of the little stuffed animals I bought, and she
liked it haha she was very shy. We got to Ame Fatimeh's house and we ate...afterwards I was
sooo full, I wanted to sleep, so I crashed in one of the rooms and then moved over to Baba's
and my room. Haha I dreamt a lot about Buffy...it was funny haha. Anywho, that's all!

Day 7 in Iran
Day 7
Well as you know, last night we stayed at Farideh's. I woke up about 8
and played a game of chess. I then went downstairs and Farideh had another
headache, so I went upstairs to check my email, and then my uncle was on
his way over to get us. We leave and come back here. We just kinda lounge
around, I read some, played chess, listened to music, etc. Farzaneh and
her kids then came over and the eldest had Eclipse on her laptop, and I
really wanted to see it! So, I finally saw it! I must say, it wasn't too bad.
Better than the other ones, but not super amazing. I would watch it again and
enjoy it. I was shocked. I really hope the next one is amazing, because that
was my favorite book of them all. I just completely forgot how cliche a lot
of those movies are...there were a few parts I was like ...seriously? or
that's so lameee. But overall, not too bad of a movie! After that, I came
in Baba and my room and listened to music and played games again and read
some more. I surprisingly didn't take a nap! It was a miracle! After Baba
woke up, I got dressed up and stuff for going out with Parvaneh and Sahroosh.
I went to their house and it was soo cute! I loved it! We then left and
bought the dress that I tried on yesterday I liked for the birthday party
tomorrow. We then went to Parvaneh's brother's house, well, her parents
house, and hung out. We got there and sat around and stuff, I checked my
email again, and then came back and everyone was sitting around talking.
I didn't talk much, because they were all speaking in farsi. It was funny
because at one point they asked how much farsi I knew, and I was telling
them the English words I knew and I said "oh! I also know, go" and I was like
ohh crap...because in farsi, go means shit. I was like waiiit! And they all
laughed..it was funny but embarassing. After that we ate Pizza...which they
still all eat with ketchup. Then they let me watch a movie while they played
poker. I watched Zombieland...great movie :) then I watched them play poker
for about an hour and then we left. OH! Parvaneh picked some roses out of
their family's garden for me! They were purrrdy, it was really sweet of her
:) anywho, it's like 2AM here...I am uber tired and I have a long night
tomorrow...nightnight!

Day 6 in Iran
Day 6
Today, woke up, took a shower, then we came to Farideh's for lunch.
I checked my email, and came back down and we all just hung around. There
was this little precious girl named Teena, she was such an adorable
girl! She was probably like 3 or so. We then ate. We had Kabob and some
type of Okra thing, but I hate okra, so I just had kabob. Everyone sat
around and talked. They found something on TV, thank goodness it was
in English. It was The Dead Zone, something like that. I watched it for
a bit, but then I got sleepy, so I went to lay down for a nap. It took me
an hour or an hour and a half to fall asleep. I was just laying there thinking
some.
Farideh and Parnian woke me up. I only napped for an hour or and hour
and a half...so I was really tired whenever they woke me up. They then
showed Baba and me pictures from a long time ago. i was still kind of
waking up, so I didn't seek as much enjoyment. After that we came
downstairs and Parnian and I played ERS. OH! I had homemade lemonade.
It was so yummy :) probably had about 5 cups of it, haha. Then we watched
some CNN, and after about an hour we all went out. Parnian wanted me to
try this Pomegranate Ice Cream...the stuff to go with it was VERY tart...
it tasted bad lol. But the actual Ice cream itself was good :) then
we pretty much went window shopping and everyone else got some ice cream.
Then we went to another little mall and got some pizza. Then Baba and I
picked up some clothes so we could stay the night here. Now we are about
to have some pizza and then go to sleep. The end!

Day 5 in Iran
Day 5
Today was a pretty good day! Woke up and I didn't really eat
breakfast because I am so freaking full from all the food we have
been eating! I am sick of eating...I never thought the day would
come for me to say that...anywho. I played some games on my laptop
for a bit and listened to music. After doing that for a bit, Baba and
I went to Farideh's and Parnian's and I checked my email and we hung
around there for an hour or two. Whenever we were going inside though,
Baba started coughing and heaving like he was going to throw up, and it
really scared me...but once we got inside, he drank some water and was fine.
Anyway, we left Farideh's and all went to Muzgan's for lunch. I was
excited because we had Stumble :) the girls and I played some ERS too.
It got intense, haha. After doing that for a while, I got sleepy and
layed down for a nap. I couldn't sleep right off the bat, so I just
layed there and thought about stuff for an hour or so, then I fell asleep.
Once I woke up, I was kinda waking up and then Taranoom, Tara, and I
played Dominos, that was fun! Then Taranoom played me at Chess...she
creamed me..but I have been practicing! A lot! Then Tara challenged
me at Connect Four...once I lost to her like 4 times, I realize I suck
at those games, haha. Then after a bit, Sahroosh and Parvaneh came to
get me so we could go shopping. They picked me up and we walked around
and looked at a lot of cute stores. They have some REALLY cute clothes
here! Because I wasn't dressed very cute, didn't have an appropriate bra
to shop with, and have a big tummy now because of all the food I have
been eating, it wasn't AS enjoyable to try on clothes, but it was still
fun! They have a lot of designer stuff here! They said it's all way
cheaper in China...looks like I need to make a trip there...we went to
a Louie Vaton(sp??) store, and a bunch of other stores that had stuff
like Chanel, LV, and D&G. I got this one really cute shirt and I found
one dress that I hadn't bought yet. Then they took me to dinner and it
was this hotel and the top floor had a restaurant and it was rotating
so you could see all of Esfahan. It was really pretty! The food was good
too! They had like where you could get a plate of appetizer pretty much,
I got some mashed potatoes and corn. It felt good to have the regular
food that I eat at home, haha. I miss it! They told me about the kinds
of things that they do at the parties here, and they said they drink
a little, which I hope nobody tries to offer me anything...because that'd
be awkward. Also I really hope that none of the men try going after me..
that'd be scary and awkward too. I felt bad because they invited me to
a friend's house and I said yes, but at the last minute, I changed my mind
because I was so tired, and Parvaneh thought I wanted to leave because of
the way she talked, which it wasn't at all! I felt terrible that they
thought that at all, because I had so much fun with them! I was just
super tired. I think they understood though. Anywho, I figured I would
write before I crashed and I knew I would forget something, haha. Well that
was Day 5!

Day 4 in Iran
Day 4
We all woke up and pretty much ate breakfast and chilled like the past 4 days we've been here.
Farid called though and I got to talk to Layla and we tried calling Veida, but Veida was sleeping.
I then went and took a shower and got ready for the day and Baba did the same. Then we went to
Farideh's to see how she was doing and visit there for a bit. I checked some emails and then went
downstairs and she was asleep, so we wanted to let her rest so we left. Came back here and hung
for a bit. They wanted Kabob for lunch and so Mehdi, his sister, my uncle, and my dad went to go
get some. They asked if I wanted to stay, but I was really tired of people making me stay and not
letting me go out. I am too much of an active and adventurous person. We came back and ate, then I
read some and took a nap.
Whenever I woke up, we took a bus and all went and walked across this bridge that is apparently
one of the most historical places in Esfahan. It was a nice bridge, kinda slippery though, haha.
Once we got off we walked around and looked at the shops. I really wanted to start shopping,
but Baba said to wait. We kept walking around and then we got to this park and we sat down for a
bit and got some ice cream. After that we walked around more and Baba was trying to look for this
one shop his friend from a long time ago owned, but we couldn't find it. While we were walking, we
saw an internet cafe, so I checked my email again haha. After that we walked around more and saw
a shoe shop :) I bought some CUTE black heal shoes. I felt like Carrie Bradshaw, haha. Then we took
a cab and came back here. Baba said I could call someone if I wanted, and I called Daniel and talked
to him for about 15 minutes. He couldn't hear quite everything I was saying, but it was nice to talk
regular English. We didn't talk too long because he isn't much of a phone person, and I kinda am not,
but not completely. After I came back in the livingroom, Sahroosh and his wife, Parvaneh(ahh! I figured
it out!) and then Farzaneh's husband and oldest daughter, who is just a tad bit older than me, she
just turned 18, came over. I was talking with Sahroosh and he said that they were going to hang out
with me tomorrow and later this weekend, like Thursday and Friday, they were going to a few parties
and said I was more than welcome to come! So I am going to a few parties! Yay! It was funny becauase
they were talking about her brother and the way it was sounding, they wanted to hook me up with him or
something...idk...that'd be awkward if they tried, because it's not happening, haha. They all left after
a while and then Baba and I went to bed.

Day 3 in Iran
Day 3
Today, I actually woke up at an okay time! I woke up at like 7 or so..which
isn't TOO bad. We all got up and ate breakfast, drank tea, and I read some
Harry Potter. Parnian and Farideh came over, but Parnian, Mehdi, and I left to
go to Parnian's so I could check my email. I was so excited to find out that
she had this thing so I could get on facebook! But I x'ed out and after that
it wouldn't let me get back on because I had to verify my phone code for
FB, and I can't get anything on my phone. After that, we left and got
some ice cream, and Parnian and Mehdi also took me to this pastry type of shop
and we got some little pastries, and they were SO good! It was really sweet
of them to do that. We came back and ate lunch, which was soo good, and then
I ate some of the ice cream we bought..I was SOO full, then I kind of hung
around with everyone, and I got so tired, I took a nap...I like this nap
time thing in the afternoon...I wish it was tradition at home, haha!
After we woke up, we all went to this park and had a picnic for dinner.
Whenever we arrived, Mehdi, his little sister and I went down to the river,
which was starting to dry up, and looked around and threw a few rocks into the
river. One of mine skipped! I was excited, haha. We walked back up and went for a
small walk to this little fountain. Then we walked back and everyone had arrived.
It was Muzgan, her husband and children, Ame Narges, and Farzaneh. We all sat around
and then the kids and I played some volleyball and dodgeball. Their dodgeball was
very similar, but different, it was pretty neat :) after playing around for a bit
we sat down and ate. The food we had was very interesting. I liked it! After that,
the kids and I played ERS. They REALLY love that game, haha. They're very good,
except sometimes, they cheat a little bit by looking at the cards before they put
it down or hover over it, but it's whatever, haha! After that, the kids, Muzgan,
Farzaneh, my dad, and I took a walk. Muzgan and I talked some about what I wanted
to do and about here and how they should come to the US. She said they were thinking
within the next 5 years if they could. That made me excited! Tara kept asking
things that I enjoyed, it was SO sweet haha. We walked, seriously, maybe a mile or two.
We came across a little bicycle rink type of thing. People were riding bikes in a circle,
and we passed people playing tennis, badmitton, soccer, it was really amazing. I wish
we had parks like that at home where people go to just hang out and play. OH! I also
saw some people smoking those water pipe things...they smelt like a mixture of smoke
and cotton candy...it was kinda weird, haha. Once we finished our walk, I rode with the
kids and Muzgan's husband and we got some ice cream. Haha I have had ice cream a lot here.
We just got back and they all left and we're just big chillin now. That was my 3rd day here!

Day 2 in Iran
ay 2
So, I went to bed last night about...12AM here? Something like that. I woke up at...4, maybe 5? Because I had to
pee sooooo bad! I have been drinking too much tea and I have been in and out of the bathroom constantly, haha.
Anywho, I was just kinda laying there for a while thinking. I finally got bored, grabbed my Harry Potter book,
and sat by the window and read with the lighting from the sunrise. After that, Baba woke up and we talked
a little bit. Then everyone else began waking up and we started getting ready for the day. I took my
first shower here, and let me tell you...nothing like home, at all! Like I said, the shower is on the
same floor as the regular bathroom. The water was really clean, so it reacted wonderfully on my hair, lol.
After everyone got ready, my Aunt, my cousin, Mehdi, and dad went to the Bazaar.
Once we arrived at the Bazaar, we walked around outside looking before it got really hot. While we were
walking, people kept staring at me :/ everyone could tell I was a foreigner because of my light colored skin.
Also probably because of the way my hair was, but I can't help part of it, because it's so thick! Haha. We
finally went inside and there was SO much jewelry. I cannot wait to go forreal shopping there. There were so
many beautiful things, and the amazing thing is that it's REALLY cheap...for them, not, but for Americans in
US Dollars, very cheap. Baba and my Aunt started getting tired, so we left and my cousin and aunt got my dad
and me ice cream. Today I had real ice cream haha, my dad had that weird looking stuff again. It smells really
weird and tastes like lime...ew :/ Anywho! Once we did that, I found out we were going to my cousins RIGHT after
and I forgot to bring an extra shirt. So we went back inside and found some small clothing stores and I bought
a really cute shirt :) only 7 dollars! The only thing bad about it is this one part of it is on from hot glue,
so I bet it'll probably fall off, but in other words, cute! Stephanie will love it because it's purple. OH! Did I
mention? One size fits all :) yaaay!
We left and went to my cousin, Muchgan(sp?) so we could have lunch. I was big chillin with her two daughters
Tara and Taranoom. They showed me their room, which was very cute! It had those light covering things that
change the color of your room. I always thought those were fascinating. Then they showed me that they play
instruments. Tara plays piano and Taranoom plays violin. After they showed me that, they showed me pictures, and
I thought it was really funny, because they had a picture from Thanksgiving or Christmas from whenever I was like
10! It made me excited lol. Once we did that, we watched some Mr. Bean and then my Aunt Ozra came and my cousin
Sahroosh and his wife...uhh...I can't remember her name, I'll write more about her later..I think we're hanging
out later. Anywhooo! We ate..and I saw it was fish :/ ew, but my dad told Muchgan that I don't eat fish! So she
made me chicken! Yayy! After that, we all sat around and were just talking. I was impressed at how well some people
spoke English! I was talking to Sahroosh, and he was telling me how he's finding fun things for us to do, and I am
excited! I love playing with the younger kids, but I like the older ones too :) after that, Ozra and Sahroosh and his
wife left. Everyone was still talking, and I began getting uber sleepy, so they let Baba and me take a nap.
After sleeping for 3 hours, we woke up and went back into the living room and Tara, Taranoom, Mehdi, and I played
some more Spades. I think I am slowly getting the hang of it. Afterwards, they showed me some card tricks, and then
I taught them how to play ERS! They LOVED it! I was like "Do you guys want to learn a game we play in America?" Their
eyes widened and were like YESS! It was adorable, haha! So i taught them and we played for a very long time. They caught
on fast and LOVEDDD it! We left and came back to my other aunt's house (Ame Narges) and we all continued playing
there. After a bit, my Aunt Farideh, her husband, and children, Teena and Parnian came. Parnian is about 20 something,
she was very nice. They were so excited to see me! It's so adorable how they come up and kiss my cheek and are so
excited. She played with us some, and then they all had to leave except Mehdi. Once they left, I changed, we just
ate some, and we're just big chillin. Everyone is watching the World Cup at the moment.
So one thing that I find very interesting I have noticed about the men. Here, the older men are very...umm...
demanding? I guess? Idk, I see them more as controlling..but the younger they get, the more they don't. My
older cousin's husbands are controlling I can tell, but Sahroosh, was very kind and wasn't at all. I was telling
my dad how I noticed that and only him and my Amu Abaas are the only older men that aren't as demanding as the other
men. I am so glad that Baba isn't that bad, lol. It makes my life easier.
Well, I am going to go read. I'll write about tomorrow, tomorrow! :)
Shayda :)

Day 1 in Iran
Day 1 in Iran
We got here about, 3:30AM on Friday morning here, which is basically the Sabbath Day here. It took a while
to go through customs and to get our luggage and finally get out. We didn't get out of the airport till about 5:30-6.
We went outside to get a cab so we can go to Esfahan, which is where my Aunt and Uncle were (We were in Tehran, the Capital
City). We got into the cab, and the cab driver was very nice. We drove and it took about 3-4 hours to get to Esfahan.
During the drive, there were SO many mountains and just plains. It was really pretty and totally new to see haha. I slept
as much as I could because I was EXHAUSTED with all of the flying. I slept maybe more than half of the driving trip. We stopped
once to get something to drink. Let me tell you...actually, i'll get started talking about the traffic later haha.
We finally arrived at my Aunt and Uncle's house. It was really sweet, we got out of the car and 2 of my cousins and their
children came outside and drowned us with hugs and kisses! My cousin Muzchgan(sp?) came up to me and said in English
"I have never met you before, but I love you!" It made my day haha. We went inside and put our stuff up (did I mention
that this apartment has an elevator??) and we sit down and my dad and everyone start talking. I got some tea and this
AMAZING cherry juice. Then, my cousins wanted to play Spades, which I had no idea how...but I learned haha. I think they
were getting frustrated with me a bit, but I tried! Doing that while tired is very complicated..just sayin'. They all
noticed how tired I was, so they let me go to sleep. I slept for about 6 hours, my dad told me. I felt bad that I came, hung
out for a bit, and then slept for so long, lol. I was tired though! So I woke up, and ate the lunch that I missed because I was
so sleepy. It was SO good. Mmmmm :) I love Iranian food, it has a different taste to it, and it's SO good! I sat there and
listened to everyone talk, then we went and watched the World Cup. We felt like going out, so we went for a drive and got
some ice cream
Now, I talk about the traffic. Oh. My. Goodness. That's all I have to say. It's HECTIC! I am so glad my dad said I
don't have to drive here. Seriously, it's the scariest thing ever. People cut people off, they don't stay in their own lanes,
there are little motorcycle type things cutting people off, everyone hits everyone, people cross the street at very
inappropriate times, it's crazy. I was getting so nervous in the backseat while we were driving. There was this one poophead
that actually tapped the back of our car and I was like WHAT the heak...of course I thought that in my head. If we were in
America, I would have SUED his butt haha.
While we were driving around, we passed a lot of nice parks by this river and bridge. It looked absolutely stunning at night.
There were a lot of people eating at that time, because it's Friday. It was gorgeous though, I can't wait to have dinner there.
It's so neat, there were little market things everywhere! Fruit, clothes, etc. It's really cool how much style the women have here.
I canNOT wait to go forreal shopping. I could totally start a trend at home if I wanted to ;). We got some ice cream, I think I
already said that. The ice cream tasted like this one candy that they have here, except it has pistachios in it...I hate pistachios.
The ice cream didn't have any, and it was pretty good! Their ice cream is very creamy and sweet. They put honey at the top of it
and that was interesting. Also another thing I noticed, is they don't have trashcans. You put your trash on the side and there
is apparently a cleaning crew that comes and cleans. I couldn't do that haha. I felt bad leaving the trash on the side.
Now, we're all sitting down, drinking tea, eating fruit, and they're talking. It's kinda frustrating a bit whenever they're talking
and I don't understand. I wish I learned whenever I was younger. Sometimes, I hear my name, and I am like huhhh? It's craycray.
So I am going to go ahead and end this note. I'll write day by day, if I can :)

Iran so far....Adventure ten thousand.
Haha I couldnt remember off the top of my head which adventure this was. So, on my laptop I have written a day by day journal type of thing for what we have all done since we have been here. I may post each day..or the interesting ones atleast, or put them together, cant decide...from being here in Iran. It has been a very interesting experience. I have enjoyed it, but I REALLY REALLY miss home, a lot! I wish I could have just brought my friends with me. That would have been pretty amazing. I am with my cousin Sahroosh and his wife, Parvaneh, and we are at their friend's house hanging out. They are all in the other room playing Texas Hold 'Em...which I found very ironic, haha. I am sitting here checking emails and watching Zombieland. Gahh this movie is so funny. It freaked me out in the theatre at first, but now it's just dead right hilarious! Tomorrow we are going to some birthday party. Then on Saturday, Baba and I are going to Shiraz for a few days, then we are going to Bandaar Abaas for a week, then we come back to Esfahan for about a week and a half, then to Tehran for like, 3 days, then go home! Yaay! Just figured I would post a quick blog saying I am all good and stuff. Take care everyone :) be home on August 4th!

Flight to Dubai-Adventure 12
So, if you haven't noticed, my dad and I are going to Iran!
We drive to Houston and met up with Laura so we could drop off our car. Baba, Laura, and I went to breakfast and stuff, then she dropped us off at the airport at like 11. We were there until 6....let me just say, that was a REALLY long wait. Baba and I just chilled, talked, I played on my laptop some(but Houston is ghetto and had no wifi), and read some. We finally boarded the plane about 6:20 or so. Went through security, which, seriously, scares the poo out of me. Security in the US is terrifying! Once I got here it was so easy and a breeze, but in the US..ohh no lol. We started getting on the plane but they pulled me into this line and made me put my bags on the floor..I didn't expect it and it scared me! The dog just started sniffing all of the bags and he stopped at mine and kept sniffing it and I was like OMGOMGOMG I don't have anything! Don't bark! Thank God, he didn't. So I boarded the plane and sat down...I was in the middle...Baba and I weren't siting together either, but we were just a row apart. Bless his heart, him and his tall legs were stuck in the middle. Well, on the flight, there was a TV touch screen on the back of the person infront of you's chair and it had ALL kinds of movies, ALL kinds of TV shows, music, and games. I watched a few Disney movies, Twilight(which I forgot how dumb the first one was...except the Baseball scene, that one was cool), and I watched Friends, and listened to some music while I slept for the few minutes I did. There was also REALLY good food. I had the option of Lamb Curry or Chili Chicken, I chose the Lamb Curry, and it was SOOO good, I had that with some Rasberry Moouse(sp?), a piece of chocolate, crackers, and a roll. I also tried Mango Juice, which was pretty interesting, I liked it! I also had an apple because I was really tired but I was too uncomfortable to sleep, so it gave me a small energy boost. The people I was next to were nice. Well, the lady was, we didn't really talk much. We talked more towards the end, I figured I would let her be, haha. The guy was alright. He didn't complainw whenever I had to get up a few times, he was nice about it...but he had TERRIBLE smelling breath, and snored REALLY loud. It got on my nerves a lot lol. Anywho, we got off of the plane about 7pm Dubai time, 9-10AM US Central time, and looked for what we needed and stuff, ate, walked around. Now, I am sitting at our gate, and the gate chairs are reclined! How awesome is that??? Baba is over at the bar right next to me having a drink and we are just waiting for our flight. Hopefully we make it onto this one, we may have to roll over to the next one...let's pray we don't! I hope I have my blog there so I can write there, if I don't, I'll write more whenever I get home! :)
